Defying dew factor, spin twins of CSK Moeen Ali (3/7) and Ravindra Jadeja (2/28) craftily choked RR in their pursuit for overhauling challenging CSK score of 188/9. RR managed scoring 143/9. The wicket was gripping and turning and eagle-eyed Dhoni marshaled his resources brilliantly for earning another huge win for CSK. Batting first most of the CSK batsmen contributed in posting a steep target of 188/9 in allotted overs. The mission was launched by Faf du Plessis (33) up in the top and followed all the way down Dwayne Bravo (20*) in the great team effort. In response flamboyant Buttler was setting up the heat. Jadeja had him clean bowled after he scored 49. From there on Jadeja and Moeen Ali craftily exploiting the turn of the wicket throttled RR to 143/9. Winning big by 45 runs cSK consolidated its position in the points table right behind table topper RCB. 

The wicket was not at all easy for playing strokes. It was gripping and turning. For CSK it was a great team effort. Faf du Plessis led the charge at the top scoring 33 of 17 deliveries. Then there was 5 scores between 20 and 27. CSK score of 188/9 was definitely a winning score on the surface. Chetan Sakriya (3/36) and Chris Morris (2/33) bowled well. Even Mustafiz did bowl 5 yorkers in his 7 balls last over taking 1 for 37.

For chasing a steep target on a difficult wicket RR required a good opening partnership and couple of other partnership down the line. But excepting Buttler (49 of 35 deliveries) none could deal with quality spin attack of Moeen Ali and Jadeja. 4 wickets fell for 5 runs from 90-95. This broke the backbone of RR innings. From there on it was impossible to recover. RR could go as far as 143/9. CSK won by 45 runs. As the tournament is progressing CSK is gearing into momentum. This is the hall mark of a great team.
