Well-oiled Chennai Express cantered past Hyderabad station on the way to the top of IPL pointes table. Batting first SRH scored 171/3 on easy paced Delhi Wicket. It ultimately turned out not a defendable score as Ruturaj Gaikwad (75) and Faf du Plessis (66) producing 129 runs first wicket partnership made the chase a cakewalk for CSK. Chennai Express has gathered momentum at IPL 14 is approaching the business round .

The wicket was flat; ball was coming at even height. Sunrisers lost Jonny Bairstow early. But Warner (57) and Manish (61) producing 106 runs second wicket partnership set a solid foundation. But on such a wicket SRH score of 171/3 was perhaps 25-30 runs too less. 

When CSK started their chase flamboyant Ruturaj (75) and dynamic Faf du Plessis (66) led CSK sailing  over and across SRH . Afghan mystery spinner Rashid Khan chipped in with 3 wickets. But it was too little to less. CSK scoring 173/3 won the match easy by 7 wickets.

With 10 points of 6 matches CSK now top the list.  RCB earning 10 points also is marginally behind in NRR
