Bangladesh batsmen started facing South Africa bowlers first in their T20 World Cup Super-12 match at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi Tuesday.
Earlier South Africa captain Temba Bavuma has won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat.
The Proteas are unchanged while Bangladesh made two changes to the side with Shamim Hossain replacing the injured Shakib al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman rested in favor of Nasum Ahmed.
"Mustafizur is missing. He is resting. Shakib has been our go to guy. It is a huge loss. It presents other guys a wonderful opportunity. The three games we have played, we were close to winning in two of those games. We would like to play some good cricket," said Mahmudullah at the toss.
