All guns blazing Australia in a completely one-sided contest blew awful Bangladesh away. Crashing Bangladesh by 8 wickets Australia brightened its prospects for qualification for semi finals surging ahead of South Africa.
Batting first Bangladesh was rolled over for yet another paltry score of 75 in 15 Overs. Australia raced across scoring 78/2 in only 6.2 Obvers.
Bangladesh batsman did not have any clue how to deal with pace on a little bouncy wicket, also looked novice against Zampa’s leg spin. I have seen many Australian Women’s team bat better than Bangladesh batsmen. They lacked skill, technique and temperament. Playing like raw novice Bangladesh proved beyond doubt that they are not worthy of playing T20 Matches in global contest. Better would be taking 5 years' time out preparing properly under changed proper management and resume playing again in 2026. There is every reason to believe that Bangladesh is the worst of 12 teams that played in Super 12. Even Namibia and Scotland played much better cricket.
Bangladesh completed a disastrous T20 world cup losing all 5 matches in Super 12. In the world cup mission including 2 official practice matches they played 10 matches. They won only two against Oman and PNG. Bangladeshi nation deserves an apology and Explanation from BCB for such a diabolic performance.

On the day well prime Australian bowlers ran riot in Bangladesh batting. Satrc (2/21) and Hazelwood (2/8) bowled with venom. Bangladesh was mesmerized by the guiles of crafty Adam Zampa taking 5/19. This was the best bowling by an Australian bowler in T20 world cup. There is nothing to write about Bangladesh batting excepting couple of courageous strokes of rookie Shamim Hossain. It appeared that homesick Bangladesh had to leave early to catch flight home.73 All out is no score in T20 match.
Australia required to win quick and they did it in 6.2 overs with captain Aaron Flinch blasting 40 in 20 balls only. David Warner scored 18. Taskin and Soriful removed the openers. Australia scoring 78/2 won the match by 8 wickets. This big win took them ahead of South Africa in the second place.
Bangladesh nightmare was finally over. They planned poorly, came with a very weak team playing on wickets not at all suitable for quality T20 matches. Their confidence and body language were not at all positive. The team had no hunger to win. There should be probe what went wrong with team management and the team.
Bangladesh should rather make their under-19 team with couple of senior players play T20 taking out tried and failed players. Liton and Soumya do not deserve as further opportunity. I think Mushfique and Mahmudullah as well should not continue playing T20.
