Sylhet Sunrisers defeated star studded Minister Group Dhaka in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) by seven wickets at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today (Jan 25).
With three stars of Bangladesh Cricket -- Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza -- Dhaka earlier lost the first two matches to Khulna Tigers and Chattogram Challengers.
They, however, bagged their first victory over Fortune Barishal in the season.
In today's match, Mashrafe bowled reasonably well, finishing with 4-0-21-2.
Dhaka were wrapped up for 100 in 18.4 overs after being sent to bat first.
Sylhet, who lost the first game to Comilla Victorians by two wickets, managed to reach the target for four wickets with three overs to spare.
Spinner Nazmul Islam Apu, who claimed his career-best 4-18 to sink Dhaka batters, was adjudged the player of the match.
For Dhaka, captain Mahmudullh Riyad was the top-scorer with 33 off 26, hitting three fours.
