Md A Halim (Hitler A Halim), editor of InfotechInsight.com, and Sabbin Hasan, digital growth editor at Samakal, have been elected as the president and general secretary (GS) of the Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum (BIJF), respectively.

In the election, Hitler secured 42 votes, defeating his rival candidate Zakir Hassan, who received 22 votes. Sabbin got 39 votes, surpassing his opponent Mizanur Rahman, who obtained 25 votes.

The Election Commission announced the results following the day-long voting held at Vision-2021 Tower in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka, on Friday.

Earlier, 64 out of 67 eligible voters cast their ballots in the election, which took place from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A total of 18 candidates contested for 9 positions in the BIJF executive committee for the 2024–2026 term.
