TOPPAY Launches Cardless EMI Services in Bangladesh

TOPPAY, a financial solutions provider known for driving financial inclusion in China, has officially launched operations in Bangladesh, introducing cardless installment payment services to local consumers.

The inauguration ceremony took place on Friday (27 September) at the company’s new office in Gulshan-1, Dhaka, marking a key step in expanding access to flexible and innovative mobile financing solutions in the country.

TOPPAY’s cardless EMI service allows customers to purchase mobile phones through convenient installment plans without requiring a credit card, easing the financial burden of large upfront payments. The initiative is aimed at widening access to smartphones and supporting the country’s growing demand for digital connectivity.

At the launch, TOPPAY announced formal partnerships with leading mobile brands including OPPO, realme, and OnePlus. The collaborations will enable Bangladeshi consumers to choose from a broad range of devices and upgrade them regularly while benefiting from flexible payment terms — a move designed to appeal particularly to young professionals and tech-savvy users.

ChenFei, CEO of TOPPAY, outlined the company’s investment plans, saying: “We have already invested Tk 3,500 million (Tk 350 crore) and plan to invest more than Tk 25,000 million (Tk 2,500 crore) in the coming years. Over the next three to five years, we aim to serve over 1.5 million customers. Beyond mobile financing, we intend to expand into financial services, payments, social responsibility, and philanthropy — because we believe growth should go hand in hand with community development.”

TOPPAY’s entry into Bangladesh is expected to play a role in boosting the country’s digital transformation by enabling more people to own smartphones and access digital services. The company says its approach will contribute to building a more connected and inclusive society while strengthening the local tech ecosystem.

With its launch, TOPPAY positions itself as a new financial partner in Bangladesh’s digital economy, offering consumers greater choice and flexibility in accessing the latest technology without the strain of heavy upfront costs.
