DHAKA: Internet subscribers in the country had reached to 36.86 million at the end of March, compared to 36.12 million at the end of the previous month.

The mobile internet base reached 35.33 million, up from 34.60 million in February, according to figures from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

The number of fixed-line internet users reached 1.22 million, flat compared to the previous month, while the number of Wimax subscribers amounted to 301,730 by end-March, compared to 299,482 at end-February.
