FROM DELL CARNIVAL (BICC): Online selling in the country has recently been increased. Especially, the sale becomes encouraging during Eid celebrations.
World famous laptop brand Dell’s dealer Business Automation Limited customer relation officer Mozammel Haque comments saying more ‘the world has been involved in online selling for many years. Bangladesh is also not out of this trend’.
When they started online selling in 2008, they got few orders. Now, they can sell from 100 to 150 laptops every month.
He thinks that the online sale has increased in ready-made garments and other household materials. But it is still back-footed in information technology sector.
But showing his optimism, he said, we could not imagine in 2008 that we world do business getting only online orders.
Gradually, the orders come but they are few in number.
Currently, it has been increased to 150 sale orders from 30 or 40 in a month in the previous years.
Mozammel said that an interested person can order a Dell laptop from sholoana.com. The clients will get home service with the existing market price.
They can pay after getting the product in hands. They do not need any additional cost.
This is our rule, the customer relation officer added.
Dell’s distributor Global Brand Limited brand manager Selim Ahmed Badal told banglanews that we have already started taking online order for laptops.
But we have yet to start retail selling. We hope to start the business soon, he added.
Earlier on Friday, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated two-day Dell Carnival at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in city.
The participating stall-owners are providing concession of their products in different levels.
Purchase of a Dell Inspiron 3000 series product will provide a T-shirt free. A Dell Inspiron 5000 provides a head-phone while a Dell Inspiron 7000 provides a free Bluetooth speaker free.
A Dell Inspiron 3000 also provides a Samsung cellphone set and a screech card free. Beside, a client will get concession from Tk 1,000 to Tk 5,000 in products in the carnival.
Eight models of Dell Inspiron 3000 series are available in the carnival. Moreover, 9 products of Dell Inspiron 5000 series, two of Dell Inspiron 7000 series, 8 of Touch series, one of EPS and Tab series each are also available at the carnival.
