Int’l IT-BPM Summit Begins

DHAKA: A three-day long International IT-BPM Summit began at Manila of Philippines on Sunday.

Information and Communication Technology Division, Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) have participated in the summit in a bid to present Bangladesh as the next destination of ICT.

ICT Secretary Shyam Sundar Sikdar is leading the Bangladesh delegation comprising BASIS Executive Director Sami Ahmed, BCC Executive Director Ashraful Islam, ICT Joint Secretary Mizanur Rahman and LICT Project Director Rezaul Karim.

Bangladesh delegation will meet the high ups of Philippines’ ICT sector and highlight the business prospects of the two countries.

Besides, they would meet the representatives of top BPO companies and invite them to invest in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh also will have a stall in the summit to highlight the present scenario of ICT sector in the country and its prospect so that the participants take interest in investing here in Bangladesh.

The International IT-BPM Summit will end on October 14.
