DHAKA: The Star Computer Systems Limited (SCSL) recently signed a contract with MEP Group, a leading group in electrical engineering field, to implement complete Enterprise Resources Plan Solution (ERP- Optima).

The term of the initial contract is eight months and within the scope of this agreement SCSL will deliver an ERP system which will include the design, development and implementation of initially accounts and finance and sales module, said a press release.

The solution will be deployed across MEP Group’s principle operating locations and its associated branch locations and distribution centers, Dealers, Sales Representative (SRs) in different parts of the country.

Under this contract, by February 2015, the sales and Financial Module will be delivered and after that successful rolling out other modules will be implemented one by one.

According to the release, the Modules ERP Optima’s are Accounts & Financial Management, Human Resource Management (HRM), Inventory Management, Purchase Management, Supply Chain Management, Commercial, Production Management,     Sales Management and Fixes Asset Management.

MEP (Mohammadi Electric Products) was established in 1974 as a private company at BSCIC Industrial State, Barisal.

It started is commercial production from 1976.With outstanding features of small size, high luminous efficiency, good chromatic display, long life, energy-saving and convenient in use, our products are be familiar in Bangladeshi Market.

MEP GROUP planned for formation of database and automation of information technology and in order to implement this automation process they are planning for structured automated application over a good network infrastructure.

As part of the Customized ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Software Development Services they are accepting to have an integrated system to ensure well-structured institute providing instant information supply and force disciplinary issues, monitoring and evaluation which improvise accountably, transparency and maintenance.
Please note so far in 10+ enterprises ERP Optima has been the software of choice, the release added.
