DHAKA: Hackers tried to obtain access to an official email address of country’s leading news portal Banglanews24.com Thursday evening.

One or more people made repeated efforts to log in the email from IP address 103.55.144.1 somewhere in Kamrangirchar area of the city at 7:26am.

After searching Google, Banglanews found that the IP address in belonged to SAM Online, an internet service provider in Dhaka.

Banglanews authorities will take measures under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act after details investigation.
