Bandwidth export to India from Sept

DHAKA: ICT state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that the additional bandwidth will be exported to India from September.

He made the assertion at a press conference on upcoming Bangladesh ICT Expo-2015 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in city on Sunday afternoon.

He said that additional bandwidth will go to India’s north-eastern provinces.

According to him, Bangladesh has already signed an agreement to be added with second submarine cable to meet the gradually increasing demand in ICT sector.

However, a three-day ICT exposition will kick off Monday to highlight sustainable development and possibility of flourishing domestic technology industries.

President Abdul Hamid will inaugurate the fair at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in city on the day.

It will remain open to all from 10:00am to 8:00pm till June 17 and visitors will get attractive offers and prizes after attending different programs at the event.
