DHAKA: Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC) will now take action against facebook, twitter stalkers immediately after receiving such allegations.

The regularity body declared to take action with 24 hours against those who harass people in social media by running obscene or offensive pages using someone’s names and pictures.

Moreover, the culprits will be brought under the law in three days, it added.

Victims can complain by phone at +88029611111. They also have to file complain through email to address [email protected].

 Regarding the matter, the commission's spokesperson Sarwar Alam told banglanews that we take action immediately anyone complained to us about such harassment. Victims can also complain directly by telephone or email.

He said that many complained to the law-enforcement agencies become a victim of harassment in Facebook, Twitter. Action will also be taken after being informed from the law-enforcers.
