New Bangladeshis get internet

PANCHAGARH: The now-defunct enclaves in Panchagarh district were brought under internet coverage to ensure easy access to information and communication technology for new Bangladeshis.

A digital sub-center was also established at Garati area of the district on Saturday with the view to attain ‘Vision-2021’ and ‘Digital Bangladesh’.

Prime Minister’s principal secretary Abul Kalam Azad inaugurated the sub-center through video conference from Mymensingh deputy commissioner’s (DC) office with Panchagrah DC office.

Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Director General-2 Begum Nilufar Ahmed, director of Access to Information (A2I) program and PMO Director-General (Administration) Kabir Bin Anwar, project officer Naimuzzaman Bhuiyan and DC Mohammad Salahuddin and police superintendent (SP) Gias Uddin Ahmed, among others, were present at Panchagrah DC office.
