NATORE: State minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that the incumbent Awami League (AL) government will establish one lakh free Wi-Fi hotspot internet zone across the country by three years.
He made this disclosure after inaugurating Singra Press Club Complex in Natore district on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the state minister, the facilities will aim to provide internet connections to the talented and poor students in grass-root level.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Hemanta Henry Kubi, Singra Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Asin Uddin and local unit AL leaders attended the inaugural session chaired by Singra Press Club president Mollah Emran Ali Rana.
