DHAKA: A three-day ‘Edumaker Laptop Fair’ will begin at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in city on Thursday.
Laptop manufacturing and marketing enterprises will show their latest products at the fair.
The organizing group Expo Maker told this at a press conference in Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel in city on Monday.
In their 16th edition, the organizers will setup seven pavilions, 13 mini-pavilions and 49 stalls at the fairground.
Besides, four seminars and workshops will also be arranged during the fair.
A gaming competition will also be arranged to draw visitors’ attention, the organizers said in the conference.
Expo Maker directorial department chief Nahid Hasnain Siddique said, “We have been organizing the fair since 2008 with the participation of youth and we also hope the same this year”.
Smart Technologies Limited, Global Brand (pvt) Limited, Computer Source, Flora Limited, Lenevo, HTS and others companies will participate in the fair, he added.
The fair will remain open for the visitors from 10:00am to 8:00pm and entry fee is Tk 30. But students can enter the fair at free of cost after wearing school uniform or showing their respective ID cards.
Entry is also free for physically challenged person.
Expo Maker strategic planner Muhammad Khan said the proceeds will go for Daily Kaler Kantha sub-editor Latiful Haque who has been suffering from leukemia.
Global Brand chairman Abdul Fattah, HP’s retail account manager Salahuddin Adel, ASUS country product manager Al Fuad, Executive Technologies Limited DGM (Business Development) MK Pasha Khan, Dell’s marketing chief Pratap Saha, among others, were present at the conference.
