DHAKA: Post and Telecommunication state minister Tarana Halim said Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) will issue order asking users to register their mobile handsets from February next year.
She made the disclosure while inaugurating the biometric system in SIM card registration at BTRC headquarters in the city on Wednesday (December 16).
The state minister said, “Users will also have to register his/her mobile phone set from February. BTRC will issue order in this regard.”
BTRC chairman Dr Shahjahan Mahmud, chief executives of different mobile phone operators were also present during the time.
