KHULNA: Freelancing has steadily been growing for past several years as a popular choice of profession among the country’s young people.

Khulna IT has arranged scores of training courses to help people build their career.

Freelancers are now working from home after receiving the trainings.

“The companies require people from different sectors like graphic design, SIO, affiliate marketing, web design, email marketing, apps development, video editing, article writing and so on.”

Shiladitya opined that the most important thing about pursuing the profession of freelancing is will-power beside linguistic expertise and reading ability.

According to him, skill is more preferable in IT industry than institutional degree.

He said, “We provide general training on freelancing or outsourcing in seven steps. The basic training with Tk 5 thousand provides lessons covering from bringing the payment to cashing out the money to an individual”.

“Life time service is also provided to the recipients of the training.”

“Office application courses are also provided which costs Tk 3 thousand. Certificates are also given from Bangladesh Technical Education Board after the completion of the trainings.”

“Moreover, Khulna IT is researching on how to take examinations in a multimedia-based classroom from class 1 to class 10 in a computerized way.”

When asked that what kind of cooperation from the government is expected for this sector, he said, “We, who are involved in this sector, demand that PayPal method should be introduced in Bangladesh. State minister of IT Zunaid Ahmed Palak has recently met PayPal officials and assured us about this”.

“It would be better if the internet charge is lessened besides arranging bank loans in easy terms. It would encourage creating more e-commerce and online business.”

Shiladitya Gain also expressed his gratitude to the ruling government for giving highest priority to IT sector in building ‘Digital Bangladesh’.

He specially thanked Prime Minister’s IT advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy and ICT state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak for their tireless efforts in creating a new IT marketplace for Bangladesh.
