DHAKA: Ali Ashfak of RM Systems Limited and Engineer Subrata Sarkar of C&C Trade International have respectively been made president and general secretary of Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) executive committee for 2016-17 on Wednesday (March 16).

Moreover, Yousuf Ali Shamim of Computer Point and Nazmul Alam Bhuiyan of Cyber Communication have been made vice-president and joint general secretary respectively.

Mohammad Shahid-ul-Munir, AT Shafique Ahmed and SM Wahiduzzaman will play their respective roles as directors.

Earlier on March 14, the directors were elected in an election held at BCS Innovation Center in city’s Dhanmondi area.

The post distribution among the elected directors was held this day.

Committees for eight BCS branches in Khulna, Sylhet, Jessore, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Barisal, Comilla and Chittagong were also formed on the day.

However, the elected persons will take their respective charges on April 1.
