DHAKA: State minister for post and telecommunications Tarana Halim categorically said that the biometric re-registration for mobile SIM cards must be done by April 30.

She made this assertion to the media at her secretariat office in city on Monday (April 4).

The state minister said that they will block the SIM cards, which will not be re-registered biometrically by April 30.

Later, the SIM cards will be reopened after re-registration, she added.

She further said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will re-register her SIM card before the stipulated date.
