DHAKA: The dateline of SIM registration through biometric system will be ended on April 30 and it won’t be further extended.

State minister for posts and telecommunications Tarana Halim made the comment categorically after inaugurating a SIM registration point at secretariat in city on Tuesday morning (April 19).

She further said, “We will give hints to SIM owners for a short time from May 1. Later, we will close the unregistered SIMs”.

Mentioning that over 6.36-crore SIMs have been registered till now, Tarana expected rest will be registered by April 30.
