DHAKA: Technologist Mustafa Jabbar has been elected executive committee president of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) for 2016-19.
The election was held at BASIS auditorium in BDBL building in city’s Karwan Bazar area on Saturday (June 25) and the elected directors on Monday (June 27) elected the officials of the executive committee.
Mustafa Jabbar (Ananda Computers) has been elected as president, Rasel T Ahmed (Team Creative) as senior deputy president and M Rashidul Hasan (SIStech Digital Limited) and Farhana A Rahman (UOI Systems Limited) as deputy presidents.
Uttam Kumar Paul (Best Business Bond Limited), Mostafizur Rahman Sohel (Advanced ERP BD Limited), Syed Almas Kabir (Metronet Bangladesh Limited), Sonia Bashir Kabir (Microsoft Bangladesh Limited) and Riyad SA Hussain (Magnita Digital) will perform as directors.
The newly elected president said they will follow the manifesto for the development of the country’s software and service sectors.
