Axiata Chief discusses digital future with Robi talents

DHAKA: Axiata Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim has urged Robi talents to lead the company’s drive towards delivering on Axiata Group’s vision of becoming the Next Generation Digital Company by 2020.

He made this appeal to the Robi talents over an inspirational session that took place recently at a city hotel.

Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim recently visited Bangladesh along with the Axiata Senior Leadership Team members to review Robi’s business operations, said a press release.

Axiata’s CEO for the South Asian Region Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya; Group Chief Talent Officer Datin Sri Badrunnisa Mohd Yasin Khan; Group Chief Human Resources Officer Darke M Sani; Robi’s Managing Director and CEO Mahtab Uddin Ahmed and Chief Corporate and People Officer, Matiul Islam Nowshad were present at the session with Robi talents.

Members of Robi Accelerated Development Program (RADP), Group Accelerated Development Program (GADP) and the Graduate Trainees engaged with Axiata Group and Robi’s leadership members at the session to get an understanding on Axiata’s vision for Robi.  

Robi’s Vice President (Talent & Development) Sharmin Sultan and Vice President (Enterprise Business Intelligence) Ahmed Saady Yaamin moderated the session.

RADP, GADP program have been designed to put Robi talents through an accelerated career path by giving them opportunity to be part of challenging projects. They are also given extensive training with the aim of creating a pool of leaders who can take on leadership roles within Robi as well as the Axiata Group.

Over the years, talent management has been a key part of the Axiata strategy. The relentless focus on leadership development across Axiata operating companies has today ensured a pool of capable people ready to take on CEO and leadership roles across Axiata companies.
