DHAKA: ‘Bangabandhu Satellite’ project of Bangladesh has won ‘Recognition of Excellence’ award from International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Bangladesh state Minister for post and telecommunications Tarana Halim received the award from ITU Secretary General Houlin Zhao in Bangkok, capital of Thailand, Thursday night (November 17).
The state minister posted news and pictures of the award giving ceremony in the social media Facebook.
Currently, the state minister is leading the Bangladeshi delegation in the ITU conference.
Bangabandhu Satellite, country’s first owned satellite, is scheduled to launch on December 16, 2017.
