DHAKA: Grameenphone recently donated some of their used network equipments (Router and Switch) to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Dhaka University (DU).

The equipment will be used in DU’s laboratory for academic purposes, said a press release.

Grameenphone’s Chief Technology Officer Medhat ELHusseiny handed over the equipment to Professor Dr. Shabbir Ahmed, Chairperson of CSE Department of DU.

Senior Director (Communications) of Grameenphone Nehal Ahmed, its Director (Network Planning) M Munir Hasan and other officials of both organizations were present on the occasion.

While disposing such equipment has been the common trend, Grameenphone has set a new example by utilizing these for educational and research purpose.
