DHAKA: Robi, one of the leading telecom service providers in the country, has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a2i (access to information).
The MoU agreement paves the way for providing Robi’s digital services products such as utility bill pay, m-ticket, airtime recharge etc. to its customers through more than 5000 digital centers managed by a2i across the country, said a press release issued by Robi on Tuesday (November 29).
Robi’s Managing Director and CEO Mahtab Uddin Ahmed and a2i’s Project Director Kabir Bin Anwar signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Policy advisor of a2i Anir Chowdhury; Robi company secretary and executive vice-president (regulatory affairs) Mohammed Shahedul Alam and vice-president (digital services) Dewan Nazmul Hasan were present on the occasion.
Robi Axiata Limited is a joint venture between Axiata Group of Malaysia, Bharti Airtel of India and NTT Docomo Inc., of Japan.
