DHAKA: Biman Bangladesh Airlines is set to honor Sophia with a Gold card membership.

Biman Public Relations Department said that they have prepared the card for the social robot, under their loyal club.  

“The female robot ‘Sophia’ will be given the card from Bangladesh Biman, as a gift. Gold membership is much prestigious for a passenger”, said a Biman official. 

Sophia, the artificially intelligent robot, earlier arrived in Dhaka early Tuesday (December 5).

Sophia will appear at the inaugural session of Digital World 2017, at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Wednesday (December 6).

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the four-day tech exposition.

However, Sophia will be available at the Hall of Fame of BICC, from 2:30pm-4:00pm, for conversation and eye-witnessing.

Developed by a Hong Kong-based company, Sophia was activated in April 2015.
