BAJUS holds views-exchange meeting in Cumilla

Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) held a views-exchange meeting in Cumilla on Friday (Nov 18) to learn about the opportunities and challenges of the local gold traders.

The meeting was held at Cumilla Club in Kandirpar area of the city at around 11:00 morning.

Speakers at the event said, “jewellery industry of the country has changed since Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Managing Director (MD) of Bashundhara Group, took over as the president of the organisation. “

“Sayem Sobhan Anvir wants the country's jewellery industry to reach international standards. So, all jewellery units in the country have to run their business with honesty and devotion,” they opined.

Mentioning that every member of BAJUS are proud to have Sayem Sobhan Anvir as its president, they said if anyone spoils the reputation of this industry by committing irregularities will not be exempted.

BAJUS Cumilla district unit President Shah Md Alamgir Khan presided over the meeting where BAJUS vice-president and standing committee on district monitoring vice-chairman Anwar Hossain attended as the chief guest.

Joynal Abedin Khokon, assistant secretary of BAJUS and member secretary of its standing committee on district monitoring, Uttam Ghosh, member of BAJUS standing committee on district monitoring, attended the meeting as special guests.

Bajus Cumilla unit joint general secretary Arifuzzaman moderated the programme.

On behalf of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir, the guests of the programme and the central leaders of BAJUS received a crest.

BAJUS Barura upazila president Abul Kalam Azad, Muradnagar unit president Swapan Poddar, Laksam unit president Subhash Bhowmik and Chandina unit president Shah Md Alamgir , among others, also spoke on the occasion.
