BAJUS to host international jewellery machinery exhibition in July

An international exhibition of jewellery machinery will commence in Dhaka in the first week of July, themed around technology integration in jewellery.

“To successfully implement Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Vision-2041, BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir has initiated the International Jewellery Machinery Exhibition-2024, a first in the country's history,” announced organisers at a press conference held at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in the capital on Monday.

Central leaders of the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) and international partners of the exhibition briefed the media on the forthcoming event during the press conference.

BAJUS General Secretary Badal Chandra Roy, former president Dilip Kumar Roy, Vice-President Samit Ghosh Apu, Adviser Ruhul Amin Rasel, and KNC Services founder and CEO Kranti Nagvekar were present at the briefing.

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) will host the three-day event at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital from July 4-6.

This pioneering event aims to enhance the domestic industry and explore the export potential of Bangladeshi jewellery in the global market.

Over 30 companies from 10 countries, including India, Italy, Turkey, the UAE, Germany, China, and Thailand, will showcase jewellery machinery at the exhibition.

BAJUS officials expect that displaying modern machinery from various countries will inspire entrepreneurs to establish new jewellery factories in Bangladesh.

Participating from India are six companies: Tisha CNC Engineering Works, Neo Instruments, Solanki Machinery Works, Era Corporation, Quantum Equipment, and Accjet Solutions.

From Italy, three companies are participating: JTE, Fasti & Omper. From Turkey, three companies will exhibit: Otek, Ortek, and Guvenis Jewellery Mold & Machine. Fischer from Germany and Do IT Industries from China will also be present.

Five organizations from Bangladesh will participate: Dreams Instrument Technology, Bangladesh Scientific Instrument Company, Expert Instruments, Trust, and Rarts BD.

Organisers are hopeful that the exhibition will foster industry development and open export opportunities, helping to revive the country's traditional gold industry.

The expo arena will be open to all from 11 am to 7 pm each day of the event.
