Banglar Math Talent Shines at Southeast University

The Banglar Math Team Championship 2024, a prestigious event aimed at fostering mathematical talent among students across Bangladesh, was held on 27 September at Southeast University (SEU). 

The event saw the enthusiastic participation of around 450 Students from various regions of the country.

SEU Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain inaugurated the sessions. The closing ceremony was a grand affair, with Mr. Niaz Rahim, Managing Director of Rahimafrooz Group, attending as the Chief Guest. Mr. Rahim praised the participants for their dedication and highlighted the importance of such competitions in nurturing young minds. The Guest of Honor, Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad, a distinguished academic and mathematician, shared his insights on the significance of mathematical education and encouraged students to strive for excellence in the field.

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of SEU, chaired the event and expressed his pride in hosting such a significant competition. He reiterated SEU's commitment to supporting educational initiatives that contribute to the intellectual growth of students. The three co-founders of Banglar Math, Ahmed Shahriar, Mahtab Hossain, and Ashraful Al Shakur, presented special remarks on the mission of Banglar Math and the success of BMTC 2024.

The competition featured 101 total winners in the individual rounds across junior, intermediate, and advanced categories. In the team rounds, 5 teams emerged as winners in the Junior category, 10 teams in the Intermediate category, and 3 teams in the Advanced category.
