The White Panel, an organization of BNP-aligned teachers at Dhaka University (DU), held its general meeting on Monday at the Faculty of Arts' Teachers’ Lounge. 

The meeting, presided over by Professor Dr. Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, resulted in the election of the central convener and two joint conveners for 2025 and 2026.

Professor Dr. Morshed Hasan Khan from the Marketing Department was unanimously elected as the central convener, with the majority support from 8 out of 12 units. 

For the joint convener positions, Professor Dr. Abdus Salam from the Chemistry Department and Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kalam Sarkar from the Persian Language and Literature Department were elected for the South and North regions, respectively.

The elections followed a process where 12 unit committees proposed their candidates, which were reviewed in the White Panel’s central committee meeting on December 22. The candidates were then presented and approved at the general meeting.
