DU VC’s Condolence at death of Matin

DHAKA: Dhaka University (DU) Vice chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique has expressed his deepest sense of grief at the sad demise of Abdul Matin.

Abdul Matin was a language activist of the Bengali Language Movement that took place in 1952 to make Bengali state language. He was one of the leading student leader and organizer of the movement. 

The DU Vice chancellor said that Abdul Matin’s death has caused huge loss for the nation. His great contribution in the language movement would be ever remembered with due respect the Vice chancellor added.

The DU Vice chancellor prayed to the almighty for the salvation of the departed soul.  He has also expressed his deepest condolence to the shocked family members of Abdul Matin.
