DHAKA: The admission tests for medical and dental colleges for the 2014-15 academic session was held on Friday.

The hour-long tests started at 10:00am at 23 centers across the country simultaneously.

According to the Health Ministry, there are 8,493 seats in government and private medical colleges and dental colleges.

Of those, 22 government medical colleges have 2,811 seats and 53 private medical colleges 4,245 while nine dental colleges 567 seats.

The students are required to score at least 40 per cent to pass the tests, said health department.
