DHAKA: The International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized a workshop at IUB Campus in city’s Bashundhara area on August 27 August.

The topic of the workshop was ‘ICCCAD Pathway to Paris: Activating the Adaptation Work stream in Bangladesh’.

Three papers were presented in the workshop.

Renowned environmentalist Prof Ainun Nishat of BRAC University presented a paper on ‘Role of Youth in Climate Change in Bangladesh’.

Professor Mizan R Khan of Department of Environmental Science and Management of North South University presented two papers on ‘Climate Change Adaptation in Bangladesh’ and ‘UNFCCC Process and Context for 2015’.

Ina F Islam, Deputy Director, ICCCAD, delivered the welcome speech.

The workshop was followed by a plenary discussion session.

Members from Citizens’ Climate Lobby and other organizations participated in the workshop.
