38 students to vie for one DU seat

DHAKA: A total of 254,404 students have submitted their applications against 6,685 seats under five units of Dhaka University (DU).

At a press briefing at central admission office of academic building of the varsity, vice chancellor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique disclosed the numbers of admission seekers.

Around 254,404 students have applied against 6,685 seats under five units of Dhaka University, he said.

That means, around 38 candidates will vie for one seat this time.

Earlier at 10:00am, the DU VC formally declared end of online admission forms submission.

The admission tests for first year honors courses at Dhaka University for the academic year 2015-16 will begin from October 9, said a press release.

The online application process for the admission tests has completed on September 10 commencing from August 24.

Admission test of Kha’ unit on October 9, ‘Cha’ unit on October 10, ‘Ga’ Unit (general knowledge ) on October 16 and ‘Cha’ unit Drawing test will be held on October 17,  ‘K’ Unit will be held on October 30 and ‘Gha’ unit on November 9.
