DHAKA: Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZMC) has been closed sine die following the clashes between two groups of students over establishing supremacy on the campus.

The decision came from a meeting of academic council held around 11:00am Wednesday, said SZMC vice-principal Dr Rezaul Alam Jewel.

He said two groups of students locked into clash around 3:00am to establish supremacy on the campus.

Following the matter, college authorities decided to shut the academic activities and examinations for indefinite period and asked student to leave college dormitories within 4:00pm Wednesday.
