DHAKA: The preliminary test of the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) will be held on Friday (January 8) with participation of 2.15 lakh job seekers.

The test will be held from 9:30am to 11:30am at 162 centers in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet and Rangpur divisions.

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has imposed ban on carrying all kinds of electronic devices including wristwatch, calculator, mobile phone sets in test.

According to BPSC issued notice, the authorities concerned will make arrangements for wall-clocks in examination halls.

The public service commission has issued a circular on May 31 for appointing a total of 2,180 first class gazetted-officers through written test, viva, and medical checkup.

Rule violating instruments will be seized, candidacy to be cancelled and to be declared disqualified.

Examinees were asked to reach respective examination center and take their seats between 8:20am to 8:55am. Question papers will be provided at 9:00am while answer sheets at 9:30am.
