DHAKA: A Dhaka University student was declared dead after finding unconscious from his room in Jagannath Hall on Wednesday morning (January 4). 

The deceased was identified as Apu Sarker, 20, a second year student of Accounting Information System (AIS) department in DU. 

He was a resident student at October Smrity Bhaban of Jagannath Hall, room-474. 

His Roommate and other students have taken him to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) after finding him unconscious where on-duty physician declared him dead on arrival.

Hall provost Dr. Asim Kumar Sarkar told Banglanews that he suspects that it was a natural death. Family of the deceased has been informed. If they wish, they will carry out an autopsy.
