DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared enlistment of 2,730 more education institutions under MPO- scheme across the country.

At the Ganabhaban, the Premier on Wednesday (Oct 23) announced the MPO enrollment of successful private educational institutions to meet the policy directives and growing demands.

She further said that now salary would be available as the educational institutions were included in MPO, but teachers would not have any chance to think so.

“Because if the quality of education is not maintained; MPO will be canceled. It should be kept in mind of the teachers”, the premier warned.  

Earlier on Tuesday (Oct 22) Education Minister Dipu Moni said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to declare MPO enlistment on Wednesday (October 23) in a bid to give priority to educational institutions located in underdeveloped areas.  

While briefing reporters at International Mother Language Institute in the capital, the minister said MPO status will be give to haor and backward areas this time. 

Prime Minister has signed the MPO document and will announce it on Wednesday, Dipu Moni added.
