Clemon brings clean campus green campus competition

DHAKA: Clemon, one of the most popular clear beverage brand of Akij Food and Beverage Limited is launching, 'Clemon Clean Campus Green Campus Ideas Contest' at the university level, to collect fresh ideas on how to prevent environmental pollution and create awareness about cleanliness. The competition was inaugurated on Tuesday, December 10 at Akij House in the capital. The winning team will receive a cash prize of Tk 1 lakh and the runners up team will receive Tk. 50,000. Clemon hopes to make young people more aware of cleanliness.

Mr. Commodore M. Manjur Hossain, Chief Waste Management Officer of Dhaka North City Corporation was present as the chief guest and Geeteara Safiya Chowdhury, Honorable Chairman of Adcom Limited-one of the top ad makers of the country; alongside Mr. Khaled Masud Pilot, former Captain of the Bangladesh Cricket team and CEO of Clemon Sports were present as the special guest during the inauguration ceremony. Mr. Abdul Alim Munshi, Honorable Executive Director of Akij Food and Beverage Limited; Azim Bin Tarek, Head of Operations and AGM Maidul Islam of Akij Food and Beverage Limited, and many others were also present. The guests present praised the initiative and are expecting a positive change.

Every year, the country's most popular company, Akij Food and Beverage Limited, organizes dynamic CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) campaigns. Likewise, this campaign will also have innovation, where students will be able to participate. The competition will share a different plan for how students can keep their campuses clean. The most effective and dynamic ideas team will be the winner and will receive prizes. Clemon plans to make young people more aware and interested in cleanliness. Registration can be made until January 8 to participate in the competition. A three-member team has to be formed to register. All of the campaign's rules and information are included in the Clemon Facebook page. Also, all the activities of the campaign including all the rules and information are being circulated on social media.

Thanking Akij Group for the initiative, Commodore Manjur Hossain, Chief Waste Management Officer of Dhaka North City Corporation said, “This initiative will inspire creativity and will seriously promote cleanliness and waste management. Everyone must come forward to keep the city and the whole country clean. A single entity can't solve this problem. That's why we have to find some innovative methods and spread them all over the country. The city corporation will always support such initiatives".

Abdul Alim Munshi, the Honorable Executive Director of Akij Food and Beverage Limited, said, “Through this competition, fresh ideas of the youth will be brought forward and the current generation will be inspired about the importance of cleanliness. I think we are doing our part to work on cleanliness and I believe that through this campaign, everyone will be more aware of their responsibilities. ”
