Actress Tasnia Farin sustained severe injuries while she was on an escalator of a shopping mall in the Kuril area on Friday.

The accident took place around 7:30 pm while she was on the escalator to go to the second floor of the mall. Suddenly, a rod of the moving escalator came out and hit both her legs.

According to tv and film director Mohammed Mostafa Kamal Raz confirmed the matter.

The rod penetrated the flesh of her leg and she started to bleed profusely, he said.

Tasnia Farin is currently undergoing treatment at the emergency department of a hospital in the capital.
