DHAKA: National award winner celebrated film actress Moushumi is celebrating her birthday with her family Friday (November 3). 

At the early hours of Friday, she cut cake amid family arrangements which was made live through her husband also actor Omar Sani’s Facebook account. 

“I will spend the day as of myself. I will share time with my mother, husband and two children. I wish everyone will pray for me so that Allah keeps us blessed”, said Moushumi.

Marking their beloved ‘Priyodarshini’ actress’ birthday, a large number of filmstars, directors, cine reporters and her innumerable fans are pouring good wishes through Facebook posts Friday.   

In a 2:24-minute video uploaded later at Sani's Facebook account in the afternoon, Moushumi thanked all of her well-wishers and fans for their lovely compliments.

However, Dhallywood superstar Moushumi stepped into the filmdom through acting in ‘Keyamat Theke Keyamat’, directed by Sohanur Rahman Sohan in 1993. The film casted celebrated actor Salman Shah against her. Afterwards, the actress continued a glorious journey in the film industry and won the hearts of Bangla cinema lovers.

The actress also acted in some TV plays and TV commercials successfully.

In 2003, she made her debut as a director through ‘Kokhono Megh Kokhono Bristi’.

This celebrated superstar won National Film Awards three times.  

She was also made UNICEF National Goodwill Ambassador.
