DHAKA: The government has closed the appointment of third and fourth class employees in the government hospitals.

Rather, the appointments will be given following outsourcing processes. The employees will be sacked for breaching any conditions of circular.

Health secretary Syed Monjurul Islam disclosed the matter in the deputy commissioners’ (DC) meeting.

State minister for health Zahid Malik said the third and fourth class employees paralyze the whole system through their union whenever hospital authority wants to take actions against them for their misdeeds.

The new system of employing through outsourcing seems better to get rid of those problems, he added.

Health secretary also said, “Those who will get appointment will work under some conditions. We will send them back to the organization that will send them for breaking conditions.”

“We will sign contracts with those organizations that would supply us with efficient workers keeping the services at hospital in their mind,” he added.
