Medical centre at embassies for Bangladeshi expatriates

DHAKA: Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed said initiatives will be taken to set up medical center at the embassy for health services of expatriates Bangladeshis.

The Minister was speaking at a seminar marking the World Heart Day, organized by the National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh in the capital’s Mirpur area on Sunday (September 29).

Imran Ahmed said that due to various initiatives of the government, health care has now reached the doorstep of the people in the country.  At the same time, he urged the people to come forward with the government to prevent the disease.

With National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh President Brigadier Professor Brig. (Rtd) Abdul Malik in the chair, presided World Health Organization representative in Bangladesh Dr. Borden Jung Rana was present in the seminar as the special guest.  

Vice President of the National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh Dr Md. Sirajul Islam, Secretary General Professor Khandaker Abdul Awal Rizvi and Prof. Sohail Reza Chowdhury also spoke.
