DHAKA: President of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin tested positive for novel coronavirus on Monday.

Mostafa Jalal, also former MP of ruling Awami League, is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Prof Dr Khan Abul Kalam Azad, principal of Dhaka Medical College (DMC) confirmed the matter.

Dr Mostafa was suffering from fever and cough since Friday and his test result for Covid-19 turned out positive on Monday, he added.
