Dengue: 20 hospitalised in last 24 hours

The country reported 20 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Monday morning (June 6), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, the 19 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, one dengue patient was admitted outside the capital.

DGHS reports 76 patients are receiving treatment at different hospitals in Dhaka, while just four patients were listed outside Dhaka.

Some 446 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till June 4 while 366 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
