23 confirmed dead in Nepal plane crash

DHAKA: All 23 people, including three crewmembers and two children, who were on board the ill-fated Tara Twin-Otter plane, were killed in the crash in Rupse of Myagdi district in western Nepal on Wednesday.

Shankar Koirala, Western Regional Administrator quoting the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal confirmed the matter, reports the thehimalayantimes.com

The name list of passengers and crew members:

Lepsang Lama, Rewati Baral, Dolma Tsering Sherpa, Ralarsidh Ahmed (Kuwait), Bal Krishna Niure, Mukti Nath Bastola, Binita Bhattachan, Krishna Lal Bhattachan, Moti Bahadur KC, Raj Kumar Tamang, Kamala Thakali, Kanchha Pariyar, Dil Kumari Gauchan, Devi Jung Gurung, Phenjok Gurung, Laxmi Hirachan, Pabitra KC, Two infants, Myaksu Wayeji (Chinese national), Roshan Manandhar (pilot), Dikesh Nemkul (co-pilot) and Rama Raut (air hostess).

The aircraft (Twin-Otter 400-series with call sign 9N-AHH) had taken off from Pokhara for Jomsom at 7:50 am.

But it went out of contact with the air traffic control towers after some minutes. The plane  was in contact till 8:15 am.
