KHULNA: A physician was chopped to death by the miscreants at his chamber at Fhulbari Gate in the town on Sunday afternoon.

The victim was identified as Gauranga Das, a doctor of Moitree clinic of the town.

Locals said Gauranga was staying at his chamber around 3:00pm. At that time a group of miscreants entered his chamber and chopped, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police suspect staff of the clinic might have involved in the killing.

Khanjahan Ali police station officer-in-charge Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
