DHAKA: Former journalists of the Bengali daily Jai Jai Din formed a human chain in front of Dhaka Reporters’ Unity on Monday for dues.

At least 20 ex-journalists of the daily took part in the agitation, who later brought out a procession.

Many journalists were sacked while many resigned when the daily saw a changeover in ownership.

“Our gratuity, provident fund and benefits are due,” Shimul Mahmud, the former chief reporter of the daily, said.
